Immuneel Therapeutics, an integrated cell and gene therapy platform founded by Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, has raised over Rs 100 crore in a Series B round of funding with participation from Singularity AMC, Rainmatter by Zerodha, and high networth individuals.

This funding round also saw participation of existing investors, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Eight Roads Ventures, and F-Prime Capital.

Immuneel Therapeutics will use this funding round to scale its GMP manufacturing capacity, advance its next-generation deep-tech cell and gene therapy pipeline toward clinical milestones, support the commercialisation of Qartemi, and accelerate international market entry across Asia Pacific and Middle East.

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Bengaluru, Immuneel Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotech company, it has commercially launched Qartemi, an approved CAR-T therapy. It also has global co-development partnerships in Australia and Southeast Asia.

CAR T-cell therapy is a procedure in cancer treatment where the patient’s own immune T-cells are extracted, genetically reprogrammed in a lab to target specific cancer proteins.

A statement said Immuneel Therapeutics operates India’s first international standard CAR-T platform to deliver global standard therapies at a fraction of the Western costs.

Immuneel Therapeutics Founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw said, “This company was founded with the belief that advanced cell therapies should not remain confined to a small segment of patients or a handful of geographies. This fundraise strengthens our ability to build a globally competitive CAR-T platform from India combining deep science, scalable manufacturing and significantly improved affordability. We believe India can play a meaningful role in shaping the future of cell and gene therapy for the world.”

Immuneel Therapeutics CEO Amit Mookim said “Qartemi’s commercialisation proved we can deliver world-class CAR-T outcomes at a fraction of Western costs. This Series B financing accelerates what comes next: a bold international expansion and a next-generation pipeline that will redefine how cell therapies reach patients globally. We are not just building a company—we are building a new global standard of care, from India.”
