An Insider’s Look: Apple’s Highly Anticipated Releases for the Next 12 Months

2023 has already been a terrific year if you love Apple. The delivery also included the Apple Vision Pro headset, a 15-inch MacBook Air, a Mac Pro with an M2 Ultra processor, a new MacBook Pro with the M2 Pro and M2 Max processors, and of course, a new MacBook Pro. But many more goods are reportedly in the pipeline, according to a recent article.

Mark Gurman claims in his most recent Power On newsletter that Apple has several devices in development for delivery in 2024 and beyond, including some that employ the M3 CPU, following the introduction of the iPhone 15 and Apple Watch Series 9, as well as a new Apple Watch Ultra later this year:

  • 13-inch MacBook Pro (codenamed J504)
  • 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros (codenamed J514 and J516)
  • 24-inch iMac (codenamed J433 and J434)
  • 13 and 15-inch MacBook Airs (codenamed J613 and J615)
  • 11 and 12.9-inch iPad Pros (codenamed J717 and J720)
  • iPad Air (codenamed J507)

There are several fascinating facts among these, albeit none are very surprising. For starters, they are all contingent on the M3 processor’s debut, which is anticipated for early 2024. The M3, which will be Apple’s first Mac processor made using a 3nm technology, will probably result in substantial performance and architectural changes that may affect the CPU’s appearance and technical specifications.

Besides the fact that they will have M3 versions of the same M2 processors they already have, Gurman doesn’t provide any fresh details on the changes. However, he mentions that the iPad Pro will feature the OLED screens and the possibility of a premium iMac with a screen “over 30 inches.”

Gurman also lists several “in early development” items with no estimated release date. One is a third-generation AirPods Pro model, and another is an upgraded Apple TV 4K with “improved specifications.” Without counting the line of headsets from the Vision Pro company, there are already more than a dozen additional items in development.

“New home equipment such as smart displays,” which have been rumored for a time, are also on the way. According to earlier reports, a device with a magnetic docking station that allows it to flip between a smart home device and a tablet, similar to Google’s new Pixel Tablet, may be on the horizon.
