Time-Lapse Recording Function (Parking Mode)

When connected to this dedicated WOLFBOX hardwire kit, your dash cam automatically switches to time-lapse mode after the engine is turned off. In this mode, the dash cam records one frame per second, significantly reducing power consumption and memory usage. You don’t need to worry about battery drain—once the engine is off and ACC loses power, the dash cam detects it and transitions from normal recording to time-lapse automatically.

Basic Installation Guide

Turn off your vehicle’s engine.Open the fuse box.Use a multimeter or power detector to identify the constant power (BAT) and ACC (switched power) sources. – Recommended: Use a 15A–25A fuse slot for ACC and under 30A for the constant power slot.Connect the yellow wire to the constant power fuse, the red wire to the ACC fuse, and the black wire to a grounded metal part of the vehicle’s frame.

Low Voltage Protection

Protect your car battery with built-in low voltage cut-off. The system automatically shuts off power when voltage drops below 11.8V (±0.2V), preventing battery drain and ensuring your vehicle can start without issue.

Time-Lapse Recording

Yellow Cable (BATT/B+)

Connect the yellow wire to a fuse location that provides constant power in your vehicle’s fuse box. To identify a constant power source, use a voltage tester to check which fuses still have power even when the engine is turned off.

Red Cable (ACC)

Connect the red wire to a power source that activates only when the car engine is running. To test this, use a voltage tester — the tester light will turn on when the engine is on and remain off when the engine is off.

Black Cable (GND):

Connect the black wire (GND) to a metal part of the vehicle’s body. Most vehicles have accessible screws or grounded metal areas near the fuse box. Secure the black wire to one of these metal points, as shown in the image below.
